John Scofield Background Information
John Scofield is a prominent American jazz guitarist and composer. He played and eventually collaborated with such stars as Billy Cobham, Miles Davis, Medeski Martin & Wood, and other artists. Scofield is also well versed in jazz fusion, soul, blues, funk, and other forms of contemporary music.
Talking about the musician’s favorite equipment, it can be mentioned that John Scofield is endorsed by Ibanez guitars. His signature guitar, the JSM100, is based on his stage and recording guitar, according to him, one of the best semi-acoustics that have been ever made.

In the summer of 2006, the musician began his tour with the latest incarnation of Phil Lesh and Friends, which is a progressive jam band that features Trey Anastasio and Joan Osborne
