English musician John Roy "Jon" Anderson is probably best known as the lead singer of Yes, which is a progressive rock band. John is an accomplished solo artist, which has collaborated for over twenty years with the famous musician from Greece, Vangelis, creating the duo entitled "Jon & Vangelis".
The singer's voice is sometimes described as angelic. He is responsible for some mystically themed lyrics and concepts, which make part of the majority of Yes releases. Those elements were crucial components of the classic sound of the band.
