During the period from 1995 to 2004, Jonny Lang's band included Paul Diethelm on guitar, Doug Nelson on bass, Bruce McCabe on keyboards, and Billy Thommes on drums. Unfortunately, Doug Nelson was killed in a traffic accident in 2000 and was soon replaced by Billy Franze. However, the latter was replaced by Jim Anton three years later. Saxophone player David Eiland was also added to the band in 2000. He provided Jonny Lang with extended instrumental jams. In 2005, Jonny Lang replaced the entire lineup, except for Jim Anton, and embarked on an acoustic tour. New guitarist of the group, Reeve Carney, became the Lang band's opening act for several shows during the 2005, 2006, and 2007 tours. The new group includes organist Charles Jones and drummer Barry Alexander.
Jonny Lang's newest release is the gospel-influenced Turn Around album, was released in 2006.
