Kanye West Brief History

Kanye Omari West lived with his parents in Atlanta, Georgia. Kanye and his mother moved to Chicago,Illnois when his parents divorced. At the American Academy Of Art, Kanye took art classes but due to poor grades he was dropped out. He produced hit singles for major hip hop/R&B and gained fame. A pitched-up vocal sample from soul songs was West's style of production and many a times he used his own instruments and drums. "The Truth" by Beanie Sigel was the first major label song produced by him.

Critically-acclaimed album, The Blueprint released on September 11, 2001 featured heavily West's sound by Jay-Z. In hip hop production, West became a major name, but struggled to get a record deal. While driving home from the recording studio West was involved in a near fatal car crash on October 23, 2003 which was a source of inspirations for West's first single "Through the Fire". "Jesus Walks" became a staple at his benefit performances which was featured on his debut album, "The College Dropout," which was released in February 2004. "Late Registration" was West's second album released on August 30, 2005.

West appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in the image of Jesus wearing a crown of thorns which sparked controversy in January 2006. To produce the single "I Still Love H.E.R," West collaborated with the Japanese hip hop group Teriyaki Boyz in 2007. Kayne West is a multiple Grammy Award-winning rapper and singer who rose to fame in mid 2000s. Teddy Bear is the mascot and trademark of West's and runs his own record label GOOD Music.
