About KCRW's World Festival
The Los Angeles Philharmonic organization associates with KCRW for ninth successful year to show KCRW's World Music Festival at Hollywood Bowl. The series persists to present unique and exceptional performances after the record breaking season of 2006 with well-known performers from all across the melodies and musical globe. Each show is hosted by KCRW DJ: Jason Bentley, Nic Harcourt, Garth Trinidad, Chris Douridas, Anne Litt, and Tom Schnabel, detained on Sunday evenings.
Carlinhos Brown returns to Hollywood Bowl after his thrilling debut concert in 1999 in support of his release in 2007, A Gente Ainda Nao Sonhou.
more Brown, who is a refreshing performer, mixes melody from his inhabitant Bahia with rock, soul, funk, pop and latin creating carnival-inducing music for masses. The show starts with reggae band Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars of West Africa.
Living through unbelievable disaster, Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars' success is a motivation and representation of the curing power of music. The songs are notified from the personal experience of the bands; however the messages sent are worldwide. Their first appearance record, Living like a Refugee, is consisted of songs written through their years in banish and provides as a melodious document of group's incredible journey.
