Keith Sweat (Keith Crier), today regarded as a black knight of R&B, was born on July 22, 1961 in one of the most dangerous and exiting urban places all over the world – Harlem, New York.

The beginning of Sweat’s musical career is closely connected with a well-known Harlem band called Jamilah started by a talented bass player Larry Peebles in 1975. Different nightclubs throughout New York City had been the home for a young and unknown singer Keith Sweat until 1987 when he was discovered and offered a perspective contract with Elektra Records. This particular year Keith released his very first album titled Make it Last Forever, with one of the biggest hits ever, simply, I Want Her.

Probably, saying I want her, Sweat meant glory, if yes – he got it, album sold three million copies! The debut album was just the beginning of a life-long story with a very complicated plot, a lot of victories and faults, the end of which is still to be written. Sweat released 14 albums, including 2xPlatinum I'll Give All My Love to You in 1990 and 4xPlatinum Keith Sweat in 1996. In 1997 Keith won a prestigious American Music Award Favorite Male R&B and Soul Artist.

Keith Sweat is not only a talented artist, but also a successful entrepreneur. He discovered and produced such groups as Silk and female R&B band Kut Klose. On February 26, 2007, he started a brand new R&B slow jam’s radio show, which became popular on 18 radio stations across America.
