One of the premier outdoor venues in the greater Pittsburgh area, First Niagara Pavilion has been showcasing a range of diverse artists since it opened in 1990. From Billy Joel to Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, and Wiz Khalifa, all types of performers and other live events have taken the stage at this open-air amphitheater, and in 2014, the pavilion will amp up the energy by hosting Kings of Leon on August 29. First Niagara Pavilion Seating Information
Roughly 16,000 seats are available on the lawn, a general admission seating area furthest from the stage and uncovered by the amphitheater roof. Moving inward toward the stage, the upper pavilion houses sections 4-9, and the final rows of these sections--the furthest area of reserved seating from the stage--will not be covered by the roof of the pavilion. Next, the VIP Boxes contain a selection of private seating areas, while the lower pavilion (sections 1-3) also features reserved seating. The final level is the pit area, which may feature general admission or reserved seating depending on the performer. Check the First Niagara Pavilion seating chart for Kings of Leon to see available seating options for the 8/29/14 event.
First Niagara Pavilion General Information
Children of all ages require tickets for every production at First Niagara Pavilion. Personal cameras are typically allowed in the venue, but professional cameras, flash photography, and recording devices are always prohibited. Umbrellas are not allowed within the venue so as to prevent blocking the sight lines of other guests. For the same reason, if lawn chairs are allowed at a performance, they must have seats no higher than nine inches off the ground.
