Cohen Back in Support of "Old Ideas" in 2013
The famed singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen is a prime example that age is nothing but a number, as the 78-year-old music icon is set to kick off a second North American leg of his "Old Ideas World Tour" on March 2nd at the Paramount Theater in Oakland. Cohen brought 2012 to a marvelous ending by closing out the first leg at the Barclays Center in December, and now he’s set to trot across North America until April, when he will take a two-month hiatus before hitting key cities in Europe. Fans in places like Chicago and New York can look forward to an encore show from the great Canadian superstar, while those in great music cities like Memphis, New Orleans, and Louisville will get to see him for the first time. Tickets for this leg of the tour are set to go on sale on Friday, January 18th, at 10 a.m. ET.
The tour is in support of Cohen’s 12th studio album, “Old Ideas,” which he spent the majority of 2012 playing live across the country. Fans were delighted as this was the first full album of new material he released since “Dear Heather” in 2004.
