About Levon Helms
Levon Helms played with legendary group The Band and remained with them until their last performance in 1976. After The Band broke-up, Helm started working on various solo projects including four albums:
Levon Helm and the RCO All Stars,
Levon Helm,
American Son, and
Levon Helm (once again). In 1983, The Band saw a reunion and Helm joined in. In 1993, Helm wrote his autobiography,
This Wheel’s on Fire. Levon Helm came back performing select shows to help him raise money to pay for medical bills as he had been diagnosed with throat cancer.

The Levon Helm Band features his daughter Amy Helm, Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Jimmy Vivino, Brian Mitchell, Mike Merritt, Erik Lawrence, Steven Bernstein and blues harmonica player Little Sammy Davis. He hosts Midnight Rambles at his home in Woodstick, New York that are open to the public. His rambles often go into the wee hours of the night and frequently include guest artists.
