As home to Jay Z's very own Made in America Music Festival, Fairmount Park provides concert-goers with a prime venue to see all of their favorite artists on 8/30/14. If you're heading to the fest, brush up on some important information regarding the venue as well as safety, transportation, and must-have items.
Fairmount Park Seating Information
All Made in America Festival tickets provide general admission admittance to the event, unless you choose to upgrade to VIP. Both single-day passes and two-day passes are available for fans heading to the fest, and once you've entered the festival grounds for the day, re-entry will not be permitted.
Fairmount Park General Information
All fans are allowed to bring blankets, towers, umbrellas, flip cameras, non-professional cameras, backpacks, bags, sunscreen, sunglasses, and one factory-sealed water bottle up to one liter. Empty water containers and Camelbacks are also encouraged due to the free filtered water stations throughout the grounds. Cell phone charging stations will also be available for those who tend to drain their phone battery rapidly. Weapons, food, flyers and posters, glass, chairs, recording devices, professional cameras, glow sticks and other items that can obstruct anyone else's view will not be permitted inside, and all bags are subject to search upon entering.
Fairmount Park Parking Information
Due to the large quantity of people expected to attend Made in America, parking may be quite difficult surrounding Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The majority of parking is available in downtown Philadelphia and 30th Street Station, which is just a short walk away from the festival. There is plenty of metered parking in the city, but most have a 1-4 hour limit, so it is recommended to find a garage or lot. A list of parking options can be found at www.philapark.org. Fans can also bike to Fairmount Park, where there will be an area to park your bike. If you would rather use public transportation, SEPTA has plenty of choices via bus, subway, or rail system.
Fairmount Park Gate Times
Daily gate times will depend on each day's first performance, so please refer to the event schedule for more up-to-date information.
Fairmount Park Accessibility
Anyone in need of accessible parking can enter the grounds at Pennsylvania and Fairmount Avenues, where there will be a drop off zone, as well as street parking. Please refer to a festival map for all available ADA platforms, restrooms, and other accommodations located on the grounds. Please contact festival staff for additional information.
