About the Mayhem Festival
The Mayhem Festival is a touring metal festival that starts in July and ends in August. The festival is brand new and is expected to happen annually. It is brought to you by the Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman and John Reese. The tour is sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink and promoted by Live Nation. The new million-dollar Jagermeister stage makes its debut on the tour. Fans are allowed to vote for the set lists at Pickrset.com.
Mayhem Stage: Slipknot, Mastodon, Disturbed, Dragonforce
Jagermeifer Stage: Machine Head, Airbourne, Five Finger Death Punch, Walls of Jericho
Hot Topic Stage: Underoath, Black Tide, Suicide Silence, 36 Crazy Fists, The Red Chord
Remaining opening bands: Dead Broke (August 13), Stuck in Kaos (August 17), Stemm (August 19)
The mainstage headliners are promoting their new albums as well as 36 Crazyfists and Black Tide and Underoath. The festival, like most others, offers other activities such as the opportunity to play the latest video games, vendors galore, and autograph signing sessions. Also on the tour is the Metal Mulisha freestyle motorcross team to add ripping sounds of motorcycles to the sounds of tearing guitars.
