Ñountry music singer, guitarist, and songwriter Merle Ronald Haggard was one of the early innovators of the Bakersfield Sound. With his hard biting electric guitar he introduced the electric sound. Through the ‘90s and into the 2000s, the musician has continued to release many successful albums. He works in familiar country themes, like betrayal, drinking, jail, and wandering – all of the themes reflect his own life experience.
In 2000, Merle Ronald Haggard made a comeback performing with the independent record label Anti and releasing If I Could Only Fly.
