After receiving five nominations at the 2013 GRAMMYs and bringing home the Best R&B Song award for his single, “Adorn,” R&B crooner Miguel is riding the wave of positive momentum he garnered for his sophomore album, “Kaleidoscope Dream,” and taking his act on the road in 2013. The Los Angeles native is currently joining “The Voice” Season 2 winner, Jermaine Paul, to serve as the supporting acts for Alicia Keys during her Set the World on Fire Tour. Keys appeared on Miguel’s track, "Where's the Fun in Forever," and fans that buy Miguel tickets can see the trio of singers perform at venues like the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. (April 14), Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich. (April 17), and the United Center in Chicago, Ill. (April 18).
In addition to shows with Keys, concertgoers can check out Miguel during solo concerts scheduled for around the U.S. into May. Miguel is slated to perform on “Saturday Night Live” on April 13, and from there, the Miguel tour will take him to the Tilles Center in Greenvale, N.Y. (April 20), Vanderbilt University Alumni Lawn in Nashville, Tenn. (April 19), and The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. (May 11). Then, Miguel is scheduled to light up the stage at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on May 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., where he’ll be joined by other performers like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, and The Band Perry. The world just can’t get enough of the eclectic singer, as he was recently featured on the cover of VIBE Magazine’s Big List 2013 issue alongside hip hop star Kendrick Lamar, who was on the remix for Miguel’s single, “How Many Drinks?” With three EPs scheduled for release in 2013, this could be the year that Miguel rises to superstardom.
