GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter, Mika, released his third studio album, “The Origin of Love,” back in October, and now the British phenomenon is planning to cross the pond this spring for a 2013 North American tour. The shows will be in support of the album, but fans should know that they will be in for a very special treat, as the Brit Award winner will be accompanied by only a pianist and guitarist for a series of stripped down shows. The tour will begin in March and continue through April, and it's designed to be as intimate as possible by taking place in smaller venues that allow him to get close to his dedicated fans. The shows will kick off on March 22nd at Venue in Vancouver, B.C., and the final show will be at Royale Boston in Boston, Mass., on April 13th.
It’s said that the intimate shows will feature rearranged versions of his classic tunes, as well as many from the new album. Over the duration of the tour, Mika is set to hit up venues like the Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Ore. (3/23); El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif. (3/27); Hard Rock Cafe On The Strip in Las Vegas, Nev. (3/29); Lincoln Hall in Chicago, Ill. (4/3); Union Transfer in Philadelphia, Pa. (4/8); and Le Poisson Rouge in New York, N.Y. (4/9). Mika tickets are set to go on sale Wednesday, February 20th, so purchase yours as soon as possible to witness this sensational crooner live on stage.
