Music of Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin is a rock band that was founded in 1968. The band comprised Robert plant, Jimmy page, John Bonham and John Paul Jones. They enjoy the unique distinction of being one of most famous heavy metal bands. They have elements of reggae, funk, classical, pop, Celtic, Latin, country and rock in their music.

The band released their first album titled "Led zeppelin profiled" in 1969. There were elements of folk and blues in the album. This was followed by their second album "Led zeppelin II". This was a massive hit and climbed to the number one position in the charts. During this time they conducted many concert tours across the United States. Their third album was "Led zeppelin III". The songs in the album are a mix of celtic and folk influences. They released their fourth album in 1971. They did not have any title on the cover. Instead they had four symbols which represented the members of the band. The album had rock, acoustic and heavy metals. The album was very well received and sold millions of copies.

Their next album was "Houses of the Holy". In 1974, the band started their label titled "Swan song". They signed many artists to the label. In 1975 the band released "Physical Graffiti" which is a double album. The album was a huge hit and gathered much critical acclaim. The band however disbanded after John Bonham's death in 1980. They got together again in Malibu and planned for their next album titled "Presence". They toured extensively and their next album "In through the out door" was released in 1978. They reunited in 2007 for a benefit concert. The band now has Plans for a world tour.
