After the band started working with Michael Sykes, Dove Award winning producer, they cut several successful albums. They include Christmas album "Inconvenient Christmas", a full-length gospel album "From The Heart", a patriotic album "Colors", a bluegrass album "The Journey". To recoup some of the costs of the band’s songs, the label took two compositions from "The Journey" and had the group recut some of their previous hits to make up "Common Thread" album. Later, The Oak Ridge Boys cut another Christmas album entitled "Christmas Cookies". In 2006, The Oak Ridge Boys completed a new album, Front Row Seats, (Spring Hill Records). The release is a welcome return to country music with fresh arrangements and composition selection. The single “Hard To Be Cool (In A Mini-Van)” is approaching the Top Forty, a place where the band hasn't been since the early ‘90s.
