One Direction is embarking on its first-ever worldwide stadium tour in 2014, and you can see this talented quintet live in New Jersey when it performs at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 4. The British band will be promoting its 2013 studio album "Midnight Memories." The No. 1 album features a number of popular singles, including "Best Song Ever" and "Story of My Life." This Monday night concert will be One Direction's first of two performances at this East Rutherford landmark.
MetLife Stadium Seating Information
For this MetLife Stadium concert, the One Direction stage will be set up on the stadium field level in front of Section 101. The band will also have a "B" stage and connecting stage extension that runs almost the entire length of the field. For seating at the concert, the main floor seats will be on the same level as the stage, featuring Sections 1-17 surrounding the main and "B" stages. Following the field, there are three levels of stadium-style seating. First is the Lower Level, whose Sections 110-142 will be open during the concert. Next is the Mezzanine Level (Sections 211-241), and the final seating area is the Upper Level (Sections 312-340).
MetLife Stadium General Information
Prohibited items on Aug. 4 will include banners, signs, umbrellas, strollers, noisemakers, professional cameras, and any kind of cooler, glass bottle, or can. Please also note that MetLife Stadium also follows the most recent NFL bag policy, which only permits small clutch purses or small clear bags to be brought inside the stadium. Small, personal cameras will also be permitted at the One Direction concert.
MetLife Stadium Parking Information
There are a number of parking lots around Gillette Stadium that are scheduled to open no earlier than 2 p.m. EST on Aug. 4. The price of parking is not included in your ticket, so be prepared to pay for entrance to the parking lots on site.
During major events like this One Direction concert, MetLife Stadium is also typically serviced by the NJ Transit Rail Service. There are also park and ride services, Coach USA buses, and Metro-North trains that run near the stadium. Check the schedules for Aug. 4 to see which transportation method will work best for you.
MetLife Stadium Gate Times
While One Direction isn't scheduled to take the stage until 7 p.m. local time, the MetLife Stadium doors are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. Keep in mind these times are subject to change on the day of the concert.
MetLife Stadium Accessibility
On Aug. 4, accessible parking can be found in the stadium's Lots E, F, and G. If you need to be dropped off outside the venue, MetLife Stadium offers a designated drop-off area in Lot C.
Accessible seating can be found in multiple levels of the venue during the One Direction concert, and there will be a number of guest services staff members available on the day of the performance to arrange on-site transportation, assisted listening systems, and any other extra services you may need. The venue also attempts to arrange sign language interpreters if given a minimum of three weeks' notice.
