There's no better way to spend June through September than sitting in the open-air pavilion at Ravinia taking in performances by talented artists and productions, like OneRepublic and The Script on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Find venue information below and prepare for an enjoyable live event experience this summer.
Ravinia Seating Information
Ravinia has both reserved and lawn seating available at the pavilion, with over 3,000 reserved seats completely covered by a roof, with a lawn that is open to all of the elements. The reserved seating is sorted by left, right, and center stage, with the first three sections right in front. Boxes are sprinkled in behind the lower level and into the upper level, which sits at the back of the pavilion. The upper level is divided into left, left center, center, right center and right, and the lawn is located directly behind that level of seating. Anyone with reserved seats at Ravinia will not be admitted into their section after the performance has started. Late seating will be at the discretion of the staff onsite, and will only be permitted if there is a break in the performance. Events take place rain or shine.
Ravinia General Information
Ravinia allows and encourages guests to bring a picnic to enjoy while on the grounds. Citronella candles, blankets, coolers, and picnic baskets are all permitted into the show, but must be stored in a designated area if you have reserved OneRepublic and The Script tickets for the concert. Ravinia also offers a Picnic Box deal, which guests can order 48-hours ahead of time and have waiting for them at the event. Lawn chairs are also available for a small fee, along with a table and buffet tables for an additional cost. Photo, video, and recording equipment is not allowed at Ravinia, and nor are tents, canopies, umbrellas larger than 6', kegs, grills, Frisbees, balls, or pets. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas.
Parking is available onsite at Ravinia, with the lot opening one hour before the park opens with various pricing depending on the event. However, there are only around 1,800 spots available at the venue, and when the lot fills, fans will be directed to the Park 'N Ride Lot. Park 'N Ride is available for anyone that doesn't want to pay parking, and there will be a free shuttle that will run back and forth throughout the concert. Anyone being dropped off can do so in the west lot only. The Metra train system also has a stop directly in front of Ravinia, making the train an easy way to get to the concert. The Union Pacific North Line that services Chicago to Kenosha is the train that is easiest to take.
Ravinia Gate Times
The gates generally open three hours before the concert starts, which allows for fans to picnic and relax in the grass. The parking lots open an hour before the venue opens, but you can call ahead for an exact time in regards to attending OneRepublic and The Script.
Ravinia's grounds are completely accessible, including parking located in the main lot and south of the Tyler Gate, but these will fill up on sold-out nights so be sure to arrive early. The Park 'N Ride option is also available for patrons with disabilities, because Pace buses with wheelchair lifts are available for those in need. Seating throughout the park is completely accessible, and getting there is easy with paved paths meant for easy transport. Contact the Ravinia Accessibility Coordinator at email@example.com for any questions or to find your ideal accessible seats.
