2013 Orion Festival Lineup Boasts Stellar Mix of Performers
For the second installment of the successful Orion Festival, created by premier heavy metal band, Metallica, a number of marquee bands will share the stage over two days of live music at Belle Isle in Detroit, June 8 and 9. Scheduled to join Metallica at this year’s event are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bassnectar, Rise Against, Deftones, Silversun Pickups, Dropkick Murphys, and more. Officially called Orion Music + More, the festival was launched in 2012 and was an immediate hit in its debut year at Bader Field in Atlantic City, where it drew such notable acts as Modest Mouse, The Gaslight Anthem, Eric Church, Arctic Monkeys, and Avenged Sevenfold.
