Headliners Revealed for 2013 Osheaga Music Festival Lineup
It’s been less than a decade since its inception, but the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival has been keeping up with some of the best festivals in all of North America. In 2012, over 120,000 tickets were sold, but expectations are higher for 2013, as the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival lineup is eerily similar to that of Chicago’s Lollapalooza. Announced on March 11, headliners for this year’s action include The Cure, Mumford and Sons, Phoenix, New Order, Vampire Weekend, The Lumineers, and Kendrick Lamar. In addition to the headliners, many more bands are scheduled to perform including rising acts like The Neighbourhood, GROUPLOVE, and Atlas Genius. That’s just the beginning though—there are over 90 bands slated to jam out across several stages for the three-day fest, which will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, Canada.
The festival, whose title is said to come from a name used in the past for the Montreal region, is scheduled to dominate music lovers’ ears from August 2-4, and is chock full of this year’s biggest indie artists.
