McCartneys household always partially consisted of music. His father was a Cotton salesman however at nights he played as a jazz musician with Jim Mac's Jazz Band. Paul McCartney took piano lessons. In the year 1956 Paul wrote his first song that was called I lost My Little Girl. A year later he met John Lennon in Liverpool and joined the group the Quarrymen. In 1960 the Beatles were formed and on the 9th of February 1961 they played their first concert at the Cavern Club. Quite soon Love Me Do by the Beatles reached number 17 in the British charts. And that was just the beginning of success. And even after the Beatles broke up, the career of this musician continued to flourish. In the year 1970 Paul McCartney released his first solo album call McCartney.
Being one of the former Beatles, this musician can be proud of the most successful solo career as he maintained in both the American and British charts during the 70s and 80s. This musician had 9 number one singles and 7 number one albums during the first 12 years of his solo career and these are only the numbers for America. However, despite this success, he was never that much respected by critics. Within a year after the Beatles' stopped its existence Paul McCartney had formed Wings with his wife Linda. This very group was active for the next ten years and made a number of hit albums, singles, and tours. Even though there were too many critical reviews on, still the public continued buying his albums and purchasing tickets for their shows. His records clicked with the audience until the late '80s. That was the time when he made his first full-scale tour since the '70s that would be called later a considerable success. In the 90s McCartney recorded not frequently and mainly concentrated on a techno album.
In 1998 his wife Linda McCartney died because of breast cancer. It took Paul McCartney more than one year to return to the music with Run Devil Run that was a cover songs collection. Then Liverpool Sound Collage and Driving Rain, and Flaming Pie came out. The next studio project of Paul McCartney consisted of sessions with super-producer Nigel Godrich. All the results could be seen on the mellow Chaos and Creation in the Back Yard that appeared in late 2005.
Paul is still very popular with fans, and his concerts gather a huge number of spectators. The tickets are often sold out beforehand, and if you dont feel like missing Pauls concerts which are an affecting spectacle, as a rule, book your tickets in advance with Vividseats.com.
