2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Performers Announced
Being enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the pinnacle achievement for any artist, and the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will include legends like Rush, Public Enemy, Donna Summer, Albert King, Heart, and Randy Newman. The festivities will take place on April 18 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif., and in this night celebrating timeless tunes, there will be plenty of live acts as well. The lineup of performers scheduled to hit the stage this year is outstanding, as the stars tapped to play live include John Mayer, Christina Aguilera, and Jennifer Hudson.
During the ceremony, Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins are set to induct Rush; Hall of Famer Don Henley will induct Randy Newman; Mayer will perform alongside Gary Clark Jr. before inducting the late, great Blues guitarist Albert King; and Aguilera and Hudson sing in honor of he late Donna Summer. More performers and presenters are expected to be announced in the future, including the inductors for Public Enemy, Heart, and lifetime achievement award winners Quincy Jones and Lou Adler.
