Rock on the Range is a yearly event that comprises many rock band performances. These are conducted at Columbus crew stadium in Columbus. The first show on the range happened on May, 2007. It was a sold out festival and there were 40,000 fans that had gone to the festival. There were two stages that were set up. The main stage was positioned in the stadium and the second stage was set up in the parking lot outside the stadium. The first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium were given wristbands. The bands were given an average time of 50-55 minutes to be on stage.
As soon as one band finished another would start immediately on the other stage.
The teams who participated in the main stage are: Evanescense, Velvet Revolver, ZZ Top, Hinder, Chevelle, Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, and Breaking Benjamin. The participants in the second stage were: Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, Black Stone Cherry, 2Cents, Operator, and Whitestarr.
The next rock show is scheduled to be held in May. It is proposed to be a two day event. The Stone Temple Pilots have been declared to be the headlining band. The bands that are scheduled to perform on the first day are: Stone temple pilots, Airbourne, Ashes divide, Theory of a deadman, Red, 10 years, filter, Finger eleven, Shinedown, Disturbed, Staind. The teams that would participate on the next day are: Revelation theory, Drive A, Bobaflex, Black tide, Default, Sevendust, alter bridge, Arowning pool, Flyleaf, Papa roach, Seether, Kid rock and 3 doors down.
