Livestock and Cowboy Fun at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo

The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo remains to be the largest rodeo as well as livestock show held in the United States which made its ticket into the public audience back in 1950. From then on, it was continued to be held annually in Texas. The said event lasts within a span of two weeks and it used to be held in Joe and Harry Freeman Coliseum. But in 2003, it got its ticket to be moved into AT&T Center.

Ever since it began, the Stock Show and Rodeo has opened doors for other people’s benefit. Aside from just providing a means of showcasing different live stock and the rodeo culture, it also began to advocate agriculture as a means of livelihood. It was in 1984 that the show began to create a scholarship program for students who wish to pursue a degree in agriculture as they enter college. Thus, more that just a venue for entertainment, the show has become a ticket to pursue further studies.
