Background Information

In 1991 she wrote her next album Solace which became a break in the Canadian music. Two years later in 1993 she wrote her next hit which shaked the whole country. It was Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Durin the next two years this song had the leading position and for a long time remained a number one hit. Her name became so famous that from time to time it occurred in many music magazines. It was difficult to find tickets to her concerts in her own country so she decided to organize a great tour which brought together more that two million people. She earned more than seven milion dollars and decided to donate all the money earned.

Apart from writing some lirycal songs for her following albums she wrote several soundtracks to the the films Brokedown Palace and the Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron soundtrack (with Bryan Adams).

After giveng birth to her daughter Sarah McLachlan returned to public life and gave a promotional tour to his to her new album Afterglow, full of such wonderful lyrical singles as "Fallen," "Stupid," and "World On Fire." After the years of relative silence the fans still remembered their favourite singer. And again when she decided to make a great tour to promote her new little masterpieces the concert halls were full as the tickets had been all purchased long ago before the show.

Once again the fans found it hard to find any tickets available as on July 2, 2005, McLachlan was participating in the Philadelphia installment of the 8 Live concerts. There she was performing her hit "Angel" (duet with Josh Groban).
