Sin Bandera Background Information
Sin Bandera is one of the most popular Latin pop bands of Mexico. The duo comprises of Leonel García and Noel Schajris. Mr. García a Mexican aspired to be a solo artiste so did Argentinean Noel Schajris. Noel however had released a solo album in 1999 and was preparing for another. Both the composers/musicians decided to collaborate in 2000 thus giving rise to the group "Sin Bandera".
The first single from the duo was "Entra en mi Vida" and it was their first stepping stone to worldwide success. The song speaks about the emotions that are sparked off upon the first encounter with someone special and was also adopted as the main theme song of the popular Mexican teleserial Cuando seas mía. Other singles from Sin Bandera that achieved popularity are Kilómetros and Sirena.
Year 2002 saw Sin Bandera achieve new heights of glory as they were nominated for two Latin Grammy awards in the categories of "Best Group Album" and also for "Best Revelation". They released "Amor Real" in 2003 and also released the sequel to their debut album by the end of the same year. Year 2004 saw heavy touring by the duo and them being nominated for the 5th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The bagged the "Best Pop Vocal Group Album" here again. "Mañana" their third album was released on the 22nd November of 2005 and also reached heights of popularity. "Pasado" is the latest album from Sin Bandera and this time the group with well known producers of the likes of Aureo Baqueiro, Jay de la Cueva as well as Mario Domm.
