Sonic Youth Tour Information
Sonic Youth is a band known for their revolutionary fusion of pop, experimental, and noise rock combined with ferocious feedback. By fixing each individual guitar with things such as drumsticks and screwdrivers, the band created new and specific guitar tunings for their songs. From their first album Confusion is Sex (1983) to the critically acclaimed Daydream Nation (1988), to their latest album Rather Ripped (2006), Sonic Youth has remained arty and abrasive enough to be dubbed legends, influencing many to partake in no wave. Listening to a Sonic Youth record will make you want to take drugs and roll around in a garbage dump followed by a nice, hot, and steamy shower with a hell of a lot of water pressure. And you can only imagine what its like to see them live in concert.
