In the heart of the Old National Centre, the Murat Theatre is one of the top Indianapolis destinations for concerts. On December 21, Straight No Chaser will be in town for an intimate performance on the oldest standing stage in downtown Indy. Review the Murat Theatre venue guide--including seating charts and theater policies--available in detail below.
Murat Theatre Seating Information
The Murat Theatre follows a typical theater seating map, with four main levels available for purchase. The first level is pit seating. Located directly in front of the stage, the pit may offer reserved seating or general admission for any given concert. Next is the orchestra, which separates into left, center, and right sections on the main floor of the theater. The first elevated level is the royalty level, which also offers left, center, and right sections. The highest level furthest from the stage is the balcony with options in left, center, and right divisions.
Murat Theatre General Information
Cameras are typically allowed but must be personal, non-professional models. Fans are not allowed to bring outside food and drink, signs, banners, backpacks, and umbrellas. Children more than one year old require a ticket for most events.
Murat Theatre Parking Information
The venue's main parking lot is located directly next to the venue, and a second lot is available off North Street. Note that parking is typically purchased on site and is available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
Murat Theatre Gate Times
The building doors usually open two hours before events begin so that guests can enjoy the venue's food and drink selections; however, the doors to the seating area usually do not open until one hour prior to the start.
Murat Theatre Accessibility
The Murat Theatre can offer several options for accessible seating, as well as accessible parking available in the main lot next to the venue. The venue also makes accommodations for guests who require assisted listening devices or a sign language interpreter if requested more than two days before the concert.
