Standing as a truly one-of-a-kind event, the 2013 Sweetlife Festival is ready to rock out live in Columbia, Maryland this summer. The fourth annual Sweetlife Festival is set to go down on May 11th at Merriweather Post Pavilion, and this year some of the fantastic headliners on tap include Phoenix, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It’s hard to believe that Georgetown University graduates Nicolas Jammet, Nathaniel Ru, and Jonathan Neman had this in mind when they founded Sweetgreen, their network of sustainable eateries hoped to encourage people to enjoy delicious food that has benefits to the body, but either way it’s going to be amazing.
Some of the other fantastic performers set to take to the main stage are blues guitarist Gary Clark, Jr., R&B singer Solange, and Hip Hop violinist Lindsey Stirling. And in addition to the main stage performers, the second stage will feature the fantastic music of artists like Holy Ghost!, Youth Lagoon, Haerts, Robert DeLong, MS MR, Twenty One Pilots, and Shark Week. The great thing is that this festival will stick to its message by offering plenty of pop-up restaurants and various food stands like The Wharf and The Tavern. And at places like these you can enjoy things like seafood, salads, yogurt, wraps, grain bowls, homemade lemonade, and fantastic brews. 2013 Sweetlife Festival tickets go on sale Friday, February 8th, so make sure to claim yours as soon as possible to experience this fine blend of holistic foods and wonderful music.
