Tame Impala Set to Venture North America in 2013
Prepare yourself to experience sensational psychedelic rock grooves straight from down under as Australia’s own Tame Impala is set to trek North America on their 2013 tour. The shows are coming along in support of the band’s second studio album, "Lonerism," which was released back in October. The sold-out tour is comprised of two North American legs, and the first will begin on February 19th at New York City’s famous Terminal 5. From there, the band will make their way to spots like Stubbs in Austin, TX (2/26); Kool Haus in Toronto, ON (3/9); and the House of Blues in Boston, MA (3/12); before finishing off in style at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California on April 14th and 21st. Tickets for these shows are on sale now.
After spending the end of April and most of May overseas, Tame Impala will venture back to North America to hit up the Sasquatch Festival on May 25th at The Gorge in George, WA. Here, they’ll be joined by acts like Mumford & Sons, Sigur Ros, Primus, Bloc Party, and the Postal Service. And fans who were hoping to see the quintet at Bonnaroo Nusic Festival have hope, as the band will be playing along the Eastern Seaboard in the middle of June. Some of the other destinations for the second stint include stops at Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC (5/27); and The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA (6/17); before they finish at Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA, on June 19th.
