The Cure to Make Several Music Festival Appearances in 2013
After several months of silence, legendary British rock band The Cure announced plans for dozens of shows across the globe. For 2013, The Cure tour will primarily include stops in Latin America, but the group announced plans to headline a handful of summer music festivals in North America as well. Most notably, The Cure will close the final night of Chicago’s Lollapalooza, alongside Mumford and Sons, The Killers, and Nine Inch Nails. The Aug. 4 set at Lollapalooza will mark the band’s first U.S. performance in nearly two years, and first festival stateside since a performance at Coachella in 2009.
The Cure has not officially confirmed any rumors about releasing new material, as the band’s setlists as of late have been peppered with fan favorites from the group’s 13 studio albums.
