The Cure Upcoming Tour Information

The Cure announced North American 2007 tour that is set to support their upcoming studio album. The trek starts on September 13 with a performance in St. Pete Times Forum of Tampa (Florida), and hit twenty cities in United States, and Canada. It will wrap up October 17, 2007, by a concert in Dallas’ American Airlines Center. The Cure will perform in NY, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, LA, Houston, and in many other markets. The Cure tickets are already on sale. New band’s album is scheduled to release in October. Current band members are Robert Smith (guitar, vocals, and songwriting), Simon Gallup (bass), Porl Thompson (guitar), and Jason Cooper (drums). The band’s discography include the following records: Three Imaginary Boys (1979), Seventeen Seconds (1980), Faith (1981), Pornography (1982), The Top (1984), The Head on the Door (1985), Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me (1987), Disintegration (1989), Wish (1992), Wild Mood Swings (1996), Bloodflowers (2000), and  The Cure (2004). As of 2007, the English rock band has released 12 studio albums and more than 30 singles, with a 13th album in the works. The band has been writing and recording material for their new studio album since 2006. Some recent reports confirm that there will be a double album, with a projected spring 2008 release. During one of the recent interviews Smith stated that probably a double album would come out like a limited edition, mixed by himself. There will also be a single-disc version, which he assumes will be primarily chosen by the label. It will probably mixed by someone else in order to have a different thing. There was actually a concern that The Cure fans would feel like they have to get both albums. However, Smith agreed to sell the double version at a single-album price.
