During an Ike Turner Review recording session 50 years ago, a 21-year-old girl named Anna Mae Bullock stepped in for an absent singer on the track “A Fool in Love”. The song quickly became an unlikely crossover R&B hit and broke into the Top 30 of the US pop chart. Bullock would change her name to Tina Turner and launch a career that has spanned five decades.
