Tina Turner Background Information

Her first solo album “Tina Turns the Country On!” was released in 1974. This album as well as the next album titled "Acid queen" met with little success. In 1984 she brought out an album titled "Private dancer". It was a huge success and received a Grammy nomination for the album of the year. Her next album "Break every rule" was also a huge success. In 1989 turner released "Foreign affair". In the 1990s Tina recorded several hit tracks including "Break through the Barrier". She also released "Simply the best" which was a compilation of her hits. Her last album was released in 2004 titled "All the best". Since then she has done many live tours. In April, 2008 an announcement was made that Tina would start off a concert at Kansas City from October, 2008.
