Vanessa Anne Hudgens is an actress and teen-pop singer born in California and has been performing in musical theatre such as The Wizard of Oz and Cinderella since she was eight years old. Getting her start as bad-girl Noel in the movie Thirteen, released in 2003, Vanessa Hudgens went from teen girl psycopath to teen girl sweetheart claiming her fame in the Disney High School Musical series starring as the shy and smart Gabriella Montez. The High School Musical soundtrack led to a musical tour that gave way a musical career. She released her first album V in 2006 with Disney-owned Hollywood Records. In 2007, she won Choice Breakout Singer at the Teen Choice Awards beating out other notable singers such as Lily Allen, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Amy Winehouse. Her next album, Identified, was released in 2008.
