By Kelvin Lyman, the Warped Tour came into existence in 1994. It is an extreme sports and a touring music festival. This idea came to his mind when he was working on skateboarding shows. Lyman got an idea of combining music with skateboarding on a bigger scale. The tour is mostly apprehended in fields or parking lots upon which the structures and stages are erected. Vans, the skateboarding shoe company have sponsored the trip amid others from the time 1995 and are called as the Vans Warped Tour.
The Warped Tour has featured almost more than 100 bands in a show, each one of them playing for just 30 minutes on an average ten diverse stages, while the chief bands normally play the two “Main” stages. Almost all punk mainstream groups have played here at some position of time. The bands start at 11:00am and come to an end at 9:00pm with numerous groups playing at a time. Bands like Limp Bizkit, Blink-182, The Suicide Machines, Eminem and Papa Roach have performed here before they became popular. Other than music, the Warped Tour brings a lot of attractions for bikers and skaters. It also features a market-like impression which has tents for every band to advertise their products, magazine publishers and sponsors who look forward to promote their goods to the spectators.
The Van Warped Tour profits the up-and-coming groups and those who look to gain extra acknowledgment. It provides a straight market for the bands to extend or obtain their fan support.
