Diamondback's Davis almost perfect

Doug Davis almost pitched a perfect game Tuesday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Diego Padres 3-0.  Davis had gone perfect through 6 2/3rds innings before Brian Giles broke up the perfect game with a single to center field.  Davis pitched 7 2/3rds innings before being taken out after he loaded the bases.  Jon Rauch got a help from his defense as Alex Romero caught a deep fly ball to right field to end the threat.  Brandon Lyon finished the 2 hitter for the D-Backs as he pitched a perfect 9th inning. Arizona got all their runs in the 6th inning, 2 of them coming from an Alex Romero RBI single. The Diamondbacks will look take the series in the finale on Wednesday night.
