Red Sox fall to Astros

The Houston Astros got a huge RBI single from Mark Loretta as they went on the beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2 Sunday. Loretta came in to pinch hit in the bottom of the 8th and drove home what would turn out to be the winning run. Josh Beckett pitched 7 solid innings, allowing 8 hits and 2 runs while striking out 4. David Aardsma took the loss for Boston as he gave up the single to Loretta. The Red Sox trailed for most of the game, as they were able to tie it up in the 7th on Manny Ramirez's 16th home run of the year until they fell back behind in the 8th. Boston will start a huge series against the Tampa Bay Rays starting Monday.
