Triple Play reversed, prevents Twins Boston Sweep

After a seventh inning triple play being taken off the board in which the Boston Red Sox scored 7 runs, the Minnesota Twins could do little to prevent the Red Sox three game sweep in the day game on Wednesday. Manny Ramirez, Kevin Youkilis and Sean Casey with singles along with a career high 4 hits game for Jacoby Ellsbury saw the Sox defeat the Twins 18-5. Ron Gardenhire, Twins Manager, appeared to be agitated after the three play call reversal involving Sox players Jason Varitek, Casey and Mike Lowell. This was the beginning of the nightmarish 7th for the Minnesota Twins as the game quickly spiraled out of control, following a previously tight game. This will certainly be a morale booster for the Sox as they now face Baltimore at home.
