Red vs. White Sox

The Boston Red Sox travel to Chicago to take on the White Sox Friday for the start of a four game series.  Both teams find themselves in battles for playoff spots as the Red Sox trail Tampa Bay by 2 1/2 games in the AL East.  The White Sox lead the Minnesota Twins by 1/2 game in the AL Central, and so this series is a big one for these squads.  This will be the first meeting of these teams this year, as they will meet again in Boston at the end of August.  The slated starters for tonights game will be a battle of the lefties as Jon Lester will pitch for Boston and Mark Buehrle for Chicago.
