Cubs sweep cross town rival White Sox

The Chicago Cubs took home the bragging rights this weekend as they swept the Chicago White Sox with 7-1 win Sunday night. The Cubs continued their dominance with strong pitching and power hitting. Ryan Dempster pitched 8 dominant innings to earn his 9th win of the year. Dempster allowed 10 hits, 1 walk and 1 run while striking out 10. Bob Howry finished the game for the Cubs with a perfect ninth. Aramis Ramirez had an amazing series and hit his 14th home run of the season Sunday night as did Eric Patterson, who is filling in for the injured Alfonso Soriano. Derrick Lee also had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Cubs. Javier Vasquez took the loss for the White sox. Both teams are off on Monday.
