The Cincinnati Reds better hope the Chicago Cubs slow down at some point, but Tuesday night showed no signs of such a wish. The Cubs got another strong home pitching performace from Ryan Dempster as they beat the Reds 7-3. Chicago was in control the whole game as the Reds were able to manage 2 runs in the 9th inning to make it look respectable. Ryan dempster pitched 7 innings, holding the Reds to 2 hits and 1 earned run, while striking out 5. Aaron Harang's struggles continued as he lasted only 4 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits, 7 walks and 6 earned runs. Harang is now 3-11 on the year. Cincinnati managed just 5 hits in the game as they fell to 5 games under .500. They will look to bounce back Wednesday night as they take on the Cubs in game 2 of the three game set.
