The Cincinnati Reds fought their way back Tuesday night, as they were able to come from behind to beat the San Diego Padres 4-3. The Reds trailed 3-0 until the 6th inning, when they got two gift hits with runners on and two outs that tied the game at 3. Both teams remained scoreless through the next 4 1/2 innings, but Cincinnati was able to finally complete the comeback in the 11th. Jay Bruce had a one out single in which Jeff Keppinger was up next a delivered the game winning hit, a double into the left field corner. The Reds got a good performance from starter Johnny Cueto who besides the 3 run inning pitched fairly well, allowing just 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 10. The Reds bullpen pitched extremely well as Gary Majewski picked up the win a perfect inning in the top of the 11th. Jake Peavy started for San Diego and got a no decision as Bryan Corey took the loss for the Padres surrendering the game winning hit to Keppinger.
