Astros lose sixth straight

The Houston Astros let a 2 run lead slip away Tuesday night, falling 6-5 to the Baltimore Orioles. Leading 5-3 through 6 ½ innings, the Orioles rallied to hand the Astros their sixth straight loss. It has been a rough stretch for Houston as they are now 33-38 on the year. Jose Valverde came on with two runners on and struck out Nick Markakis. He then battled Melvin Mora who hit a 2 run double that put Baltimore ahead. It was Valverde’s 4th blown save of the season. Doug Brocail took the loss for Houston as it was his second of the year. Kazuo Matsui had 3 RBI in the loss.
