The Houston Astros couldn't get their bats going or stop the Pittsburgh Pirates offense as they lost 8-2 Tuesday night. The Astros managed just 6 hits in which Pirates starter Paul Maholm shut down the Houston offense through 8 innings allowing just one run and five hits. Michael Bourn had 2 hits for the Astros as this is the second loss in a row they have suffered to the Pirates. Jack Cassel took the loss as he got rocked for 9 hits and 5 earned runs through just 4 2/3rds innings pitched. Houston will look to manage one win in the series as they take on the Pirates Wednesday.
