The Kansas City Royals, found themselves on the losing end of a 7-5 decision to the Baltimore Orioles, despite a late rally Tuesday night. Starter Luke Hochevar found himself in a hole, giving up 6 runs in the first three innings before settling down. Despite a 6-1 deficit, the Royals battled back, scoring runs in the fifth and sixth before Mark Grudzielanek added a two run single in the ninth to draw the Royals within two runs. The rally fell short, however, as George Sherrill came in to shut down the rally and send the Royals home with a loss.
