Milwaukee Brewers News | ||
Bad Brewing LatelySince C.C. Sabathia’s unofficial no-hitter last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Milwaukee Brewers have not been able to get their act together. They are defeated in September, posting a 0-4 record thus far. That absolutely has to change if the Brewers don’t want their Wild Card berth to be usurped by the Philadelphia Phillies, who are a mere four games behind at this point. The Brewer’s four-game lead is still pretty comfortable but there are still plenty of games left in the season and they need be careful. However, at the same time it is important to not dwell on losses and poor play, according to Brewers manager Ned Yost. "We have a four-game lead in the Wild Card, and you try to come back and win a game tomorrow. That’s the extent of our focus. If you start worrying about it, that starts piling up on you. That’s weight that you don’t need." True words spoken by a confident manager. Tonight the Brewers will attempt to bounce back and avenge last night’s loss to the San Diego Padres. C.C. Sabathia will pitch against Padres’ Josh Geer. Game time is 7:05 CDT. |
