Red Hot Twins Top Detroit 6-4

Craig Monroe's 3 run home run in the fourth inning off of Nate Robertson would be all the Twins needed to beat the red hot Tigers and earn Minnesota their 12th win in their last 14 games. Starter Scott Baker pitched a solid five innings, before running into trouble in the sixth and surrendering a two run homer to Marcus Thames. The Twins bullpen would preserve the victory for the Twins, with Joe Nathan coming on in the 9th inning to earn his 23rd save of the season.
