Twins lose to Mariners

The Minnesota Twins managed to fight their way back Tuesday night only to fall to the Seattle Mariners 8-7.  Minnesota rallied with four runs in the top of the eighth inning to take a one run lead.  But the Seattle Mariners got a two out RBI double from Jose Lopez to regain the lead for good.  The game featured a combined 29 hits in which both teams rallied from behind.  Almost every Twins starter had a hit on the night and that included Jason Kubel’s 4 hits and 3 RBI with two of those hits being home runs. The loss put the Twins one game behind the White Sox in the AL Central as Chicago beat the Tigers Tuesday night.  Minnesota will look to avoid a sweep on Wednesday when they take on the Mariners in the series finale.
