Despite being down 3-1 early, the New York Mets battled back to beath the Cardinals 7-4 at Busch Stadium on Tuesday Carlos Delgado broke out of a 1-13 slump by going 3 for 3 with two doubles, David Wright hit his 16th home run and Tony Armas earned his first victory of the season in a game in which Cardinals starter Todd Wellemeyer struggled seemed to fade early. After a three run fifth the Mets never looked back, sending Billy Wagner to the mound in the 9th to pick up his 19th save of the season.
