Chamberlain's debut as starter a fast one

The much anticipated start for Joba Chamberlain lasted only 2 1/3 innings, as the New York Yankees lost 9-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday night. Chamberlain struggled early as he walked four and threw 62 pitches in his short stint. Many believe that this was a step forward in the young pitchers career with the transformation from reliever to starter. Toronto starter Roy Halladay pitched six innings allowing 2 earned runs with 3 strikeouts. Johnny Damon continued his hot hitting as he had 3 hits on the night. It was the Yankees third loss in a row, dropping them to 2 games under 500.
